Celebs Cleared In FTX Case

📉 A federal judge tossed most claims against celebs like Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and Kevin O’Leary in the FTX lawsuit, ruling that plaintiffs failed to prove they knew about the fraud. The decision shrank the scope of the case, which accused stars of misleading investors while pocketing endorsement cash.

⚖️ The court ruled there wasn’t enough evidence to show the “Celebrity Defendants” or influencer YouTubers had knowledge of misconduct by Sam Bankman-Fried or FTX. That left most federal and state advertising-related claims dead on arrival.

💸 FTX’s collapse in 2022 vaporized billions in customer funds and kicked off global investigations. But this ruling means the legal fallout may fall more on the company itself than on its high-profile promoters.

U.K. and U.S. Strike Trade Deal

Source: DALL·E

🔔 Trump announced a “full and comprehensive” trade deal with the U.K., calling it the first major agreement since the U.S. imposed sweeping new tariffs. The U.K., despite being hit with baseline 10% tariffs, avoided the harsher “reciprocal” duties placed on others.

📉 Britain's central bank cut interest rates by 25 basis points, citing global uncertainty caused by tariff moves. The Bank of England said the hit to U.K. growth and inflation would likely be modest compared to other countries.

🤝 The deal signals deeper economic ties amid global trade tensions, with more agreements reportedly in the works. Steel, aluminum, and auto tariffs may be restructured as part of the finalized pact.
